Although Sinawali provides a great format for learning Stick & Knife skill, it does not include 2 key angles (8 & 9). This page deals with the defensive techniques used to counter stabbing (angle 9) and overhead striking (angle 8).
Angle 8
Angle 8 includes overhead stick strikes & downward knife stabs (standard & reverse grips). There are only 2 blocking techniques to handle all weapons and hand to hand contexts:
